Studio & classroom policies
Last updated: June 6, 2026
These policies describe expectations for students enrolled at Arts Atelier 146. They supplement our Terms & Conditions and course syllabi. Where a course syllabus is stricter, the syllabus controls for that course.
1. Christ-centered community
We teach art in a Christ-honoring environment. Treat instructors, staff, and fellow students with respect. Disagreement is acceptable; harassment, bullying, hate speech, or content that mocks faith communities or individuals is not.
2. Attendance and live sessions
Online and on-ground courses may include live sessions. Attendance expectations are defined in each syllabus. Recordings may be provided for enrolled students when the instructor enables them; recordings are for personal study only and may not be redistributed.
3. Assignments and academic integrity
Submit your own work unless the instructor authorizes collaboration. Cite references when required. Upload only file types allowed for each assignment. Late work is accepted only when the course allows late homework or the instructor grants an extension.
Quiz and assessment rules vary by assignment type (upload, online quiz, in-class). Sharing answers or using unauthorized aids violates our Terms and may result in a zero grade or removal from the course without refund.
4. Forums, office hours, and peer discussion
Course forums and office messaging are for educational purposes. Stay on topic. Report inappropriate posts using the report feature. Peer discussion on assignments is allowed only when the assignment enables it.
5. Uploads and equipment
You are responsible for your internet connection and hardware. Uploaded files may be scanned for malware; infected files may be rejected. Do not upload content you do not have rights to use.
6. Grading and feedback
Instructors provide critiques and grades according to rubrics described in the course. Grades are educational assessments, not guarantees of portfolio placement, employment, or certification by third parties.
7. Conduct violations
Violations may result in content removal, loss of forum access, suspension of enrollment for payment or conduct reasons, or referral to leadership for expulsion under the Terms. Refunds after conduct-related removal follow our refund policy and are not guaranteed.
8. Questions
Course-specific questions: use your course forum or office message thread. General policy questions: use our Contact Us form.
